David, a Man After My Own Heart

excerpt from “The Spirit Filled Believer’s Daily Devotional

“This is one of those verses which reads the same in the Old Testament (1 Sam. 13:14) as in the New Testament. When the Lord states that David is a man after His own heart, what He is saying is: ‘David is My kind of man! I can count on him to do all My will without any reluctance or hesitation.’

Twice in the Psalms, David discusses his willingness to do the Lord’s will. In Psalm 40:8 he declares: ‘I delight to do Your will, O my God. And Your law is within my heart.’ (NKJ) Then in Psalm 143:10 he requests the Lord’s help in this area: ‘Teach me to do Your will.’ (NKJ) This desire to do the Lord’s will was PLEASING to God.

David had another characteristic that qualified him to be a man after God’s own heart. It was a QUICKNESS to ACKNOWLEDGE WRONGDOING when he was confronted with it. David was QUICK to REPENT. He did not hide his sins. He did not carry grudges, hatred, unforgiveness, or resentment in his heart.

He always hurried to the place of FORGIVENESS and RECONCILIATION. How many hours, days, weeks, months, and years have we wasted by not coming to grips with unconfessed sin? David was SO SENSITIVE about DISPLEASING the Lord that he was quick to make amends and be restored to loving fellowship. He did not lose any time clearing away the debris in his life. It was THIS quality that caused him to be a man after God’s own heart.”

Sometimes I struggle with feelings of inadequacy. Feeling like I’m falling SO SHORT of the Glory of God, that the Lord MUST not want to hear from me. That THIS time I’ve messed up too bad, and am an utter failure. A disappointment to my Father in Heaven.

The 2nd Coming Of Jesus Christ

excerpt from “The Spirit Filled Believer’s” Daily Devotional

~Genesis 15:16 “For the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”

“Here the Lord is telling Abraham that occupancy of the land promised to his descendants can only take place when the depravity of the Amorites who lived there has reached it’s zenith. This event took place over 400 years later. The land literally vomited out the Amorites because of their total degeneracy and depravity. It was then that Israel was able to go in and possess the land as their inheritance.

This event explains why the Lord Jesus has not yet returned to the earth. Over 318 verses in the New Testament point to Christ’s Second Coming. Right now we are seeing all malignant forces of evil heading towards a culmination of total depravity. This action will produce the man of sin—-the antichrist. He will be spawned in a garbage-can society that reeks of filth and degradation.

At the same time all this is taking place, a work of righteousness is being developed and orchestrated in God’s people. The loving, compassionate nature of Christ is being implanted and formed in our hearts. Hate in the world is making sinners more like satan. Love in the Christians is making us more like Jesus. Earthly, sensual and devilish wisdom is fully demonstrated in satan’s followers. The pure and holy wisdom from above is conspicuous in the followers of Jesus. When the iniquity of the latter-day Amorites reaches it’s saturation point, the righteousness of the bride of Christ will produce the Second Coming of Jesus. (Rev. 19:7)

Wow, this is a deep one…and “Christ 2nd Coming” has been a hot topic in Christian circles lately.

When will Jesus Christ return to the earth?

My belief is that we are in that season now, and the Rapture of the Church could be any day.

When Dick Mills wrote this passage, about 30 years ago, “Right now we are seeing all the malignant forces of evil heading towards a culmination of total depravity. This action will produce the ‘man of sin’—the antichrist” we were already watching the end times prophecies unfold.

However, up until recently most Christian’s would have said that we’ve always seen signs of the end times. But scripture clearly tells us that we won’t just see signs, but that we will see every sign in a single generation, and that is what is happening now.

The unbeliever’s of this age are the modern day Amorites, and wouldn’t you say that we are witnessing the zenith of depravity, in the world today?

You may ask what exactly is “the zenith of depravity?”

Well the zenith dictionary definition is: the time at which something is most powerful or successful, at it’s peek; high point; climax or pinnacle.

Wedding couple and lovers

And depravity is defined as moral corruption; wickedness; obscenity; debauchery; indecency; deviance.

With divorce rates at an all time high, occult practices quickly becoming the norm among young adults, activist pushing to legalize full term abortions, and 300,000 children right here in America, being victims of Child Sex Trafficking each year, beautiful school girl witch tells fortunes and speaks with ghosts with spiritual boardI think the answer is clear. We are at the zenith of depravity now.

However, there is good news…we are also experiencing an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

~Acts 2:17

“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”

In January of 1997 many people of the “New Age” belief were in an uproar about the Star of David appearing in the astrological chart over Jerusalem. They believed it was a sign of the coming of the “Age of Awakening.”

When I read about this, the first thing that came to my mind was that this marked the beginning of what the Bible calls the outpouring of the Spirit.

We have seen many of the signs of Jesus return, including but not limited to the four Blood Moons that hung in the sky on four Hebrew (Jewish Bible)art-astronomy-atmosphere-1276314 holiday’s between Passover in 2014 and Sukkot (The Festival of Tabernacles) in 2015.

After the blood moons of 2014-15 I began to research and study the End Time Prophecies for myself, and have no doubt that we are watching everything from the pages of the Bible, play out right before our eyes.

But decide for yourself…I’ve posted the best End Times teachings about the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ, that I’ve ever viewed below.

Take a look and let me know what you think.

For 40 years Pastor Jimmy Evans has been doing an in-depth study of the Bible Prophecies concerning the End Times, and in these short sermons he takes you along his line of thought, backing up every point with the Word of God.

This first one was from a series he did a few years ago…and this one goes with it.

Then some time later Pastor Jimmy Evans did a series called “The Tipping Point.”

There are five short sermons in that series that go into who will be raptured, and what the rapture of the Church will be like. It goes into great detail about our marriage to Jesus Christ, about when we reign on earth for one thousand years, and our immortal bodies…Pastor Jimmy elaborates about the fact that some of us will not experience a physical death, but will be changed in a moment into immortal beings.

~1 Corinthians 15:51-57 “But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
THANK YOU for stopping by today! I hope you have enjoyed my post, and that you’ll take this opportunity to watch a few of these sermons. They really are quite beneficial to anyone, trying to make sense of the times we live in.
